Looking for love in all the wrong places

NORWOOD, OH (FOX19) - A Norwood woman tries to land a date by calling 911.

According to police an intoxicated Bernadette Music, 43, called 911 up to five separate times on Thursday, July 26 asking for a date.

When police responded to the call at 2000 Maple Avenue, Music refused to answer the door.

Music, eventually taken into custody, urinated in the hallway before being taken away.

In court this morning Music entered a not guilty plea and will be back in court on September 17.

I think my favorite part of this touching story is how she popped a squat in the hallway.

This one is a keeper. If you are interested, I would jump on that in 6-9 months, cause she will be snatched up quick.

Student Research to make Cincy better

There is a DAAP student who is starting some research to build a project to improve the perceived status of Cincinnati. All he is looking for is a single sentence about what you think of Cincinnati.

Please send all responses to @mobyjohnson (but if you comment on the blog or Facebook, I will make sure they get to him)

----
Thanks. On a side note, I will be finishing play-testing for the OchoCinco drinking game and will hopefully have the rules posted on the site tomorrow. I am hoping to figure out how to liveblog on Posterous so we all can commiserate together.

For the drunk drivers

(Not that I condone drunk driving....) If you are planning on driving drunk tonight, Cincinnati.com wants you know know the places to avoid

The Butler County O.V.I. Task Force will be conducting a checkpoint in Hamilton to check for drunk drivers.

The checkpoint will be held on State Route 4, and last from 11 p.m. until 4 a.m.

Officers and troopers will also be aggressively patrolling near the checkpoint.

Police are required to publicize checkpoints.

1) What is the logic of requiring police to publicize where they will be on the lookout for drunks? Unless I am missing something, wouldn't you want the checkpoint locations to be a bit of a surprise?

2) What does aggressive patrolling look like? Is it like a power walk?

By the by, it is my birthday this weekend, so you all should be sending me gifts. Just sayin'

Hyde Park residents find out they don't live there

CINCINNATI (FOX 19) -- 500 homes and the Hyde Park Country Club are at the center of a mapping debate.

An area called Hyde Park East, off of Erie on Hampton Lane,Forest Hills, Broadview Drive, Hampton Lane and Country Club Drive, is all in the Oakley community.

That is according to the Cincinnati Community Council map, which is what the Multiple Listing Service (MLS) uses to classify where homes are listed for sale on its web site.

So if you search for Hyde Park homes none of these homes will show up in the search.

Homeowners are also worried the classification will lower their property value.

Homeowners also say on a different map their property is classified by the Hamilton county Auditor as living in Hyde Park, paying taxes on property values in that section of town.

The city of Cincinnati says the communities boundaries map was not created for the purpose of placing value on property. It is for community notifications and meetings.

City officials say the way to fix the issue is the Hyde Park and Oakley community councils have to amend their community boundaries map and get the city's approval.

A grassroots effort is going on in the community, the group has a web site Hyde Park East

A) This is the biggest drama that has happened in "Where white is right" Hyde Park in a while

B) Could Fox19 have come up with a worse fucking title? It has honestly sapped all my energy by leaving me dumbfounded.
